Laboratory activities must be designed to engage students minds, so that students may acquire skills and confidence in their work.
For students to acquire the manual and mental skills associated with learning physics, it is essential that they should be fully engaged in laboratory activities. This requires sufficient equipments and laboratory stations for laboratory groups containing two or three students.
Air Force School Jorhat has a well furnished physics laboratory and is equipped with variety of apparatus used to conduct the experiment for secondary and senior secondary students. The laboratory is quite spacious. The laboratory has permanent working wooden tables and large storage spaces beneath the tables. It is well equipped with all the latest syllabus and strictly follow the CBSE norms. There are plug points at each table and also walls. It is equipped with electrical and electronics equipments, optical bench, electronic balance, sonometer etc.
